From September onwards we stock fresh game, hand dressed
or in the feather, and for Christmas and New Year our Free-Range
poultry is unbeatable!
In the closed season a range of frozen products is available.

- Gressingham duckling - This is a cross between
a Peking duck and a Wild Mallard. In our opinion the result
is the finest tasting duck, with a rich meaty flavour and
a small frame that yields more meat than an Aylesbury or
Norfolk of the same size. The duck is prepared by dry plucking,
so that a crisp skin is easily achieved.

steaks, diced, (subject to season)

We have the most comprehensive range of free-range poultry
for your festive fayre.
- Golden Promise Free Range White Turkeys - this
is the brand mark for turkeys reared to the specification
of the Traditional Farm Fresh Turkey Association. The turkeys
are allowed to wander around open fields by day and at
night bed in open barns. They are grown slowly to full
maturity and fed on a drug-free diet that is 70% serial-based
and contains no animal proteins or growth promoters. The
birds are dry-plucked and hung for a minimum of seven days
to develop a mature flavour, the old fashioned premass
production method.
- Kelly Bronze turkey - Highly recommended by top
chefs and food writers and was the recommended
turkey in the BBC Good Food Guide (December 2002).

- Farm capon
- Free range geese - Our geese are hatched in early
spring and spend their life free range, able to roam fields
and feed on grass and corn. This helps to produce a rich
meaty flavour and dark yellow fat, fantastic for your roast
potatoes!
- Farm-raised wild boar - Raised by Barrow
Boar, on its farm near Yeovil, the boar are allowed to
roam freely on lush pasture with diets supplemented by
potatoes and beet. One of Rick Steins Food Hero's.
