I'm looking for excellent service...

All of the team at Ward's Fish is trained to the highest standards ensuring that you receive a one to one, friendly and polite service. Having been a family run fishmongers since 1927, the knowledge that we have is first class and staff who have worked first hand within the fishing industry complement this.

Our experienced team can cater for your every requirement preparing your fish to any specification.

The main problem that we find why people dislike fish is the matter of bones - no problem! All bones can be removed simply and effectively. Whole fish can be gutted so that the fish can be cooked whole. If you don't like the bones they can be filleted which involves removing the backbone as well as the small chest, or pin bones.

The fish can be processed into one or two fillets depending on your requirements. Keep the bone as it makes a lovely stock for a sauce!

Buying a large fish? Large fish such as salmon can be prepared in a number of ways. It can be filleted and darned into portions (no bones) or steaked with the central bone left inside. If you're cooking it whole we can remove the bones and leave the fish whole for easier serving.

Our team is always on hand to provide recipe and cooking advice.
